poetry

gypsy breath

she sat on
the sidewalk
with a dog
by her side

one guitar left
to let her
fingers paint
the memories onto
her gypsy breath

i plucked out
an orange
for her
fingers dug
down
under the skin
into sweet wedges
that flowed
through her throat
